Courage To Change

There was a time when...
I thought I could change everything and everyone
Than I realized I needed to work on changing myself.

There were times when…
I relied on others to make me happy, and to fulfill my dreams
Than I realized I just needed to have more faith in who I was, and to believe in myself.

There were times when…
I could find every reason to give up, to quit ,to give in
Than I realized I just needed hope, and strength, to go on.

There were times when...
I feared changes in my life
Than I realized it's because of changes…
That I now have courage.

I love this. There has been so many times that I wanted to change someone. Little did I know that it was me that needed the changing. It is amazing how God works when you pray for someone to change.
HE is still working on me to change me to the person HE wants me to be. I am so thankful that HE hasn't given up!

Blessings,
Darlene

Beautifully stated!!!!! Just lovely! It is what we have gone through in our past that gives us the courage and the faith to change today and walk into tomorrow, isn't it?

Thanks so much for coming to my blog and for your sweet words of encouragement! There is nothing better and more uplifting to the soul than when sisters in Christ encourage each other and lift each other up! THANK YOU!

Hey Lorie,
I love this poem!
I feel your pain with the headaches. I've been dealing with them many years but the closer I am to Menopause it's worst. I spent about 5 hours in Emergency yesterday from it.
I will keep you in my prayers.

Have a great weekend.

Change is hard but change is so good for us. It gets us out of our comfort zone and into a zone of growth with the Lord.

OOhh, this poem is ME! How did you know? I'm not sure I'm at the part of having faith in me yet...I get discouraged. But the fact that the Lord is still putting His finger on the things He wants me to change, shows me that He hasn't given up on me. Knowing that, I can go on. Thank you for a tremendous poem. I love it. Debra
