Armor Of God

The two photos show the eruption and vog of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano on the big Island of Hawaii.

Yes !! Hawaii Is beautiful and we have a saying here that says.. "Lucky you live Hawaii".. and while we are so blessed to live here in the beautiful islands, we also have to live along side natures uncontrollable events for example our on going volcanic activity, and all that comes along with it. Well lately it's been the sulfur dioxide fumes which cause a hazy fog all over the islands, (Vog) as it it known here. It is a bit of an inconvenience for those of us with chronic illnesses including asthma, allergies, and upper respiratory issues.

(Nevertheless we love our island home) *smile.*
It made me reflect on how we as Christians have to live in a world filled with events which at times we have no control over. I don't have control over the volcanic eruptions or vog, but I do have control over how I will take care of myself so it will not affect me as much. I take certain precautions like taking my medications making sure not to miss any doses so I can be prepared for times when the vog surfaces . To not be caught off guard and put my health at risk because I wasn't prepared. We can live in a world full of unpredictable, and unpreventable circumstances, because we have the assurance that if we stay in prayer, and in God's word, putting on the full armour of God, we can remain standing.

Ephesians 6:13 verses 13-18 (The Message) Says..
Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out
.

We can face whatever comes our way without fear, having the confidence in knowing that even when everything seems out of control, God is always in control.

It is possible to live in a impossible world of trials and tribulations for with God we are covered when we gear up and use our faith to touch the untouchable when we believe the unbelievable.
