Resting In Your Love

My presence shall go with thee,
and I will give thee rest.Ex. 33: 14

I’m resting, resting in your love
At times life seems to take a toll
I’m still, quietly listening to hear
Your voice speaking to my soul.

I get away from all busyness
That steals time away from you
I’m basking in your presence
Moments so precious and few.

Lord I really need a refreshing
In my spirit mind, and soul
Fill the dry and empty places
Renew and make them whole.

I’m resting, resting, in your love
All my cares and unrest cease
I'm basking in your holiness
Finding comfort, rest, and peace.

Living in the moment and soaking up all God's love is so peaceful. to know that life is too short to let petty things ruin your life. remember what really counts and the treasures the Lord will have for you in heaven for all your good deeds here on earth...makes you want to try your best to honor him.
sorry...I went to a good friend's funeral and to know that he's so young and died...when it's your time to go...God takes you home. to see reality first hand is making me realize that I must enjoy every moment and make it my last...and if so is this how I want people to remember me by.
thanks for the spiritual blessing and the soothing poem.

Hi Joy!!
((Hugz My Sistah)) I feel the sadness in your heart as I read your words. Tomorrow is promised to no one, and you are so right in life we must make every moment count, Good or bad there are lessons in them all. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.

My blessings and prayers are with you during this time of sadness and tears.

Luv Ya Lorie

After feeling like I was in the hustle and bustle driving this morning I already feel this has calmed my heart this morning, I needed to so hear this.
I felt the peace while you wrote this, from your heart.
Beautiful
Have a blessed day

The only good thing when the "longing" owns us is that nothing but the Presence of Holy God will satisfy us. I can only imagine what dwelling in the arms of Holy God does for us eternally.

His love transcends all else. Coming to "know" this only comes in the tough times.

Be blessed and know I wish I could visit you on all levels of understanding and the least is not the temperature. Brrr...brrr in Dixie.

I wrote a comment but got a page that says there was an error to come back and redo. I hope you don't get this twice.

The poem was beautiful. I'm still struggling with finding the place of basking in His love and hearing His still small voice. I'm doing my reading, but there must be something I'm not doing.
Thanks for your prayers,
AliceE.
PS Don't forget to get your award from my blog.

This is beautiful. As I read each word, I thought "that's me, that's me." I could say I feel every word in my heart that you spoke or rather wrote.
Blessings,
Paula

Hello gifted w/words. I am currently in Exodus as I follow my reading plan. I am in chapter 23. How comforting your poem is to remind me that he wants me to slow down, rest in him and not pace myself according to life's demands.

Thanks and stay beautiful.
