Wings

Today…
I fly, with wings no longer bounded or bogged down
I take the flight of freedom, with wings no longer held captive.
No longer held back by circumstances, people, and emotions
Wings once weakened by fear, now strengthened with hope,

Today…
I step off the edge, not looking down but up with trust
Spreading my wings, I am lifted up by the winds of change.
Flying high above the mountain peaks, soaring with the spirit
Feeling the breeze upon my face and the wind beneath my wings.

Today..
I fly with grace and gratitude toward the heavens
There is a peace on this flight of freedom and faith
When my wings need rest, I nest in the arms of love
I find refuge under the mighty wings of my Savior

Today…
I fly with the wings of God's Joy and Strength.

How beautiful - what a great reminder of: Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
"... but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Hugs & Blessings,
Deb

Trusting in God, resting in His arms is where I am right now. I've had some health issues but my God is bigger than they are. I will be having some tests so please keep me in your prayers.
Love you,

The picture and your poem are so beautiful! Isn't it neat that God is the Air that will lift up our wings! We can truly soar! By His grace. Have a great weekend sister. Be strong in the Lord's mighty power.

Beautiful Sister,

Oh how your words touched me so. I love angels and collect them. I could feel the wind beneath my wings as I read through these beautiful words and I felt as though I was experiencing everything that you wrote here. Oh how that made me feel so wonderful, so refreshed.

I have had this reoccurring dream over the past several months. I am in my parents back yard (someone else lives there now and my parents are no longer living, but it is our old homestead where we grew up) and my husband is with me. I would say to him look just watch and see what happens and then I start to run in a partial circle and then I take off into flight up into the air, not very high but high enough just to fly around the back yard (it actually feels like gliding and graceful) and I'm telling you I can still feel that feeling which is so wonderful. I've never told anyone about this publicly, but now I have here to you. Your poem gripped me deeply as I related it to my reoccurring dream.

Thank you my friend.

Love you so much. Would you please be praying for me as I felt under attack tonight physically. I haven't had anxiety attacks in quite a while, but tonight I was most certainly on the verge of something. I just kept praying in the spirit as I paced the floor.

Also I just posted on my site for more prayer for my sister Sandi. Would you continue to pray for her and lift her up to the Lord as she will find out the biopsy reports this coming Monday. If the Lord leads you in any way for words for her, please leave a comment on my blog as I am passing prayers and comments on to her and her family.

Love you so much my precious friend.

What a beautiful poem, Lorie. I've always said if I could be any animal I would want to be a bird so I could soar about in the sky. This reminded me of it. Thank you for sharing.

It is useful to try everything in practice anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)
