Back From My Retreat And Bloggy Break !!

What a time of rest, and relaxation, both spiritually, and physically, and a much needed one I must add. The Retreat was such a blessing, and our theme this year was.." Dwelling In His House." I will share more as I gather my photos together.

This where I got to sit, look out at the endless ocean, and be reminded of God's never ending love for me. The sand was also another reminder of the of his unending thoughts toward me. A place where I took time to pray, sit, and listen in quietness, as the Lord spoke to my heart. I  wrote in my Journal, created more poetry, songs, and words of encouragement.

I also took a "Bloggy Break"  seeking the Lord for wisdom and direction for my life. I feel a change is happening in my life, and I need to make wise choices, and decisions, and allow the Lord to lead me.

This was our guest speaker "Kathy Slamp of "Vessel Ministries, She was such a wonderful woman of God, whose words encouraged my heart, and spoke words of truth ,  yet with such love, one's heart could not help but be opened to receive. She has a wonderful sense of humor, as well as wisdom to share, and touched each woman there in a very special way. There were rooms in my heart that needed a spring cleaning,  and now I have God's dwelling place in order.

I really enjoyed reading your blog post. I just got back from a mens retreat a few days ago. It was like getting a spiritual recharging with all of the fellowship and guest speakers. God bless, Lloyd

Rest is so important. We all need a break from what we experience day to day. Retreats are a wonderful way to get our spiritual batteries recharged. God bless you, Sister.

Lorie, So glad you had a time of refreshing - how we need those times more often in our lives - especially as women. The world expects and demands so much of women - it can be a real bondage.

I find that God calls me to more rest than I would proscribe - though I find it refeshes and trains my spirit in such a way to truly do what He calls me to.

Sometimes just getting away and being spiritually renewed is a life changing experience. Even when the newness fades a bit, we still recognize we're different. When we've gotten in touch with the Lord on that level we can never be the same. I'm so glad you had that experience. It will be good to have some of it spill out over us. God bless.
