Prayers Needed

Most of you know I am dealing with a serious chronic illness, and I go through good days and bad days. Well the past couple of weeks I have had more bad days than good ones and blogging has been put aside because of it. I have had no motivation or desire to write, craft, or even keep up with the house and I normally don’t allow it to get me down.

Having a chronic illness can cause sadness, depression, chronic fatigue, and pain, and after a while you just get so tired of feeling sick and tired. I am so blessed to have a husband and children who are very understanding, patient, and compassionate, making sure I am keeping up with my meds and get enough rest. Sleeping does not come easy at night, and by the time I do
fall  asleep it’s time to get up.

I ask for your prayers, and just want to thank some of my blogging sistahs who have sent me cards of encouragement. It’s such a blessing to know someone is not only thinking of me, but also praying for me.I guess it’s my time to receive encouragement as I go through days of discouragement, especially with the fatigue.

I know the Lord is faithful and my trust in him has never wavered, I just wanted to touch bases with all of you; I have missed visiting your blogs. Hopefully I will feel better soon and resume writing once again… Pray my strength in the Lord, the word of God says it’s during the quietness, and resting, that my strength shall be renewed.

The best advice given to me : Refuse to give pain the loudest voice. Still your mind and your heart to hear God's guiding whispers. Climb up and cuddle like a child upon your Father's lap as you read God's  Word, meditate on God's promises, and carry each concern to God in trustful prayer.

My dear cyber-sister - you are always in my thoughts. How wonderful that your family understands and helps you through your illness. The path may be rocky but you are not alone. May God's hand reach down and touch you and bring you some peace during this difficult journey you are on.

As a recepient of blogger prayers over this last full year, I can definitely testify to a peace that passes all understanding when someone's praying. I will be praying that peace for you. I know that fatigue..but it brings comfort to know that God never sleeps and he never slumbers, and is always watching over you.

My husband has a chronic illness--- cancer. He has survived 5 years now. He has good spells and not-so-good spells. And unfortunately, some really hard times. But God is our constant... He sees us through.
Many people who follow your blog also have chronic illnesses or know someone who does. If even if they don't, they are being blessed by your testimony. You are an inspiration. God bless you!

No burden is too heavy, because God is with us.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Dear Lorie,
In the midst of your deepest physical pain, His presence brings comfort and strength. He may choose to restore your physical health - I pray He does, but even if He doesn't at this time, His grace is sufficient for you. His had is on your life at this time of your affliction. It's better than the hand of any friend, any partner, any parent or any child, because when He touches, He brings great compassion and lasting relief. No one comforts better than Christ.
Whatever you are facing today, please remind yourself that your pain is no mistake. It's no accident.Praise the Lord anyway with song and with your lips and tell Him what He means to you dear sister in Christ, and in that praise His presence will come and in that presence He will heal you.For that is His will. By His stripes you are healed. Healed back at the cross.
I pray the blood of Christ Jesus over you for total healing sovereignly so you can be a wonderful testimony to all who know and see you. Love and prayers lifted for you from Barrie, Ontario, Canada - Annie

Blessings my sistah as you get back all stolen. As God holds you in His loving arms He breathes His breath of life into you, giving you Joy and strength.... all is well. His gospel be the pill needed to overcome this as it brings that which is needed for the mind of Christ and power of Christ to be reveled. Receiving Power, Love and a sound mind in the process. God doesn't respond to pain although He does to Faith. Father, Son and Holy Spirit in agreement as your Faith becomes ONE. He lives and moves and has His being in YOU The Holy Spirit Of Truth. In Jesus' Holy Name!! *U*

Oh Lorie, my heart goes out to you. I have lived with chronic pain in varying stages for the last 5 years or so. It can be so difficult, just like you described and another person cannot really now how tough it can be.

That advice sounds like life giving truth.....let the voice of your Lord be the loudest voice in you, not the pain. I pray that the pain would bow down to the Lord most High and submit to his hand, in the name of Jesus.

Much love and prayers.

I think that the advice given to you was excellent. I hope to hear sooner rather than later than you have passed through this rocky spot and have reached greener pastures. It is always good to know that God is with us wherever we are and however we feel. Prayers and blessings...

Sorry to hear about this. When I was going through a very painful time in my life I found the book, "The Gospel according to Job" by Mason really helped me and ministered to my soul. Each Chapter in this book is usually about 2 pages so that was helpful. But each chapter really ministered to me. Mason went through an extended time of pain and this book comes out of this. He thinks a bit outside of the box. Check it out and you won't be sorry. God bless you in and through this.
