Create

Come on Create, don't lay there and hesitate.
Get busy, get inspired, fulfill your hearts desire.
Be free, let go, and your creativeness will flow.
Sit back, close your eyes, let your imagination rise.

Use your talent, use your gift, just give your soul a lift.
Reach deeply, way inside, let the spirit be your guide.
Close your eyes, pray, relax, and it will all come back.
In everything, that you do, let your gifts shine through you.

Have faith, just believe, all things can be achieved.
Listen to your heart speak, reach for the highest peak.
Creating, can make you whole, Creating can heal your soul.
Let all doubt within you cease.. trust in your creativeness.

A poem to encourage myself, as well as others, circumstances in our lives will arise. Many will be beyond our control,  We begin to put our gifts of creativeness aside,  especially those of us who have Chronic illnesses and pain. But through it all I have learned that I may have an illness, but it doesn't have me . I just leave it in God's hands and walk in victory, it's not always easy to do, but with God all things are possible. Besides creativeness is healing for the soul.

That's so beautiful, Lorie, and it really did encourage me. I have been living with chronic pain in the past several months, and I've practically stopped using my creative talents, though the deep seated yearning to do so is still there. Thank you for sharing such a word of encouragement!

I love being creative. I think it is natural for people to want to create. After all, we're related to the great creator.
Blessings to you and thank you for sharing your creativity and your faith.

Hi Lorie!
this is an encouraging post. I'm glad to see that you are finding your creativeness again. I think you bring out so much of yourself, so giving when you write. It is beautiful.

I just read an article in Good Housekeeping from Michael j. fox who is living with Parkinson's. It is very similar to your feelings...you have a disease and it can not define you!

Blessings

Beautiful. I live with chronic pain and it does affect creativity if I don't stay on top of it. Trusting God is what we need to do.

Blessings,
Pamela

Lori, I read this yesterday but for some reason I did not comment.
Can't remember what happened. It's so good to read your poetry and know that God is taking care of you. I've missed you.

I haven't blogged in a while. My husband had a carotid artery surgery June 2 with an 85% blockage. He came through the surgery just fine and he must be getting better because he's arguing with me. That's a good sign my daughter tells me. He had some irregular heart beats and we had to readmit him the next day but the dr. got him straightened out and he's doing better except the dr. who discharged him gave him a high powered blood pressure medicine that was lowering his pressure. I stopped giving it to him and called the dr. on call and he agreed that it should be stopped. He still has another problem that needs to be taken care of next week. Praise God for all He is doing in our lives and I know He is standing right beside you.
Love you, AE

Sistah, it is awesome to hear your words again. Sending a BIG [[[[[ HUG ]]]]]. I know that you are in the hands of God and there is no better place to be. Mountains be moved as you receive the fullness of God. In Jesus' Holy Name! *U*

Oh Lorie, just few days ago I was thinking about that, since i transferred to other county and got married, it seems like my creativity stopped.

BTW, I say a prayer everytime i remember you.

that is such a nice poem. I find that in the summer I don't do as many crafty things. I'm so busy outdoors.

Your poetry is lovely, Lori! I'm happy to have surfed in here tonight :) I truly can relate to this since I've suffered with chronic pain for most of my life. I have found creativity to be such a saving grace for me. I feel happiest when I am involved in the creative process although I do go through long periods of not feeling inspired to do anything ~ these are my darkest moments. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words of encouragement :)

Hugs & Blessings to you :)
