My Jar Of Fireflies

I saw so many fireflies
Flying from afar...
I caught a few that evening
And put them in my jar.

I ran to take them home
So excited for Mom to see...
I tripped and fell and saw my
Jar rolling away from me.

I looked all around and
Behold to my surprise...
I found my jar with all
My fireflies inside.

I saw my Mommy
Waiting just for me
I showed her my fireflies
and then she said to me...

It was getting dark and
I was worried you see...
But I saw a light from afar
And you running home to me.
Sometimes guardian angels
Come in many disguise.
And I think that yours my child
was in your jar of fireflies.
