When Women Gather

When women gather in one place
Each one is welcomed and embraced.
Excitement and anticipation awaits
God’s beauty shines upon each face.

When women gather in one accord
With strength and power in the Lord.
Their weapon is God’s mighty sword
Their hope is heaven, God’s reward.

When women gather in mighty prayer
Giving the Lord, their burdens to bear.
Rejoicing in hope, no longer in despair
Knowing that victory is already theirs.

When women gather in Jesus name
Power in unity, has been proclaimed.
Sharing laughter, tears, joy, and pain
They walk away, forever changed

Hi Lorie! I wanted to thank you for your kind comments on the loss of my beloved Gizzy. He will be forever missed but Rudy is helping me to deal w/ it. Dogs have but one fault...they just don't live long enough. :o(

This is so true when I am in the company of my Christian sisters we always embrace one another and we are in unity. There is nothing like being surrounded by Christian women. We as women are more than conquerors,we have to be about God's business no longer sitting idle but to be on the front line for God. Because we are soldiers in his army.

Very pretty poem. I'm glad I'm a woman. I love the third stanza it reminds me of my Moms in Touch group.

Truly beautiful and absolutely True. I was listening to my spiritual radio station this morning and they were talking and kind of joking about the number of times Adam probably called upon Eve. Eve, where are my socks? Eve, what color should I wear? Eve, what's for dinner? Eve, where are my keys? It was so funny but probably true. Where would this Universe be without the beauty of Women?

Thanks for your comments. They mean a lot to me. I'm so sorry your having problems with meds. I can identify with that. I'm allergic to so many. I pray for you every day.
I don't remember if you get the Biblegate verse for the day but I thought it was meant for all of us.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

We just have to put ourselves in His hands and trust Him to take care of us.
May you feel the peace of God today,
AliceE.

Hi Lorie! I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping me and my family in your prayers...we are ever so blessed to have you praying for us. here's the update so far... the good news is that the drs didn't have enough evidence to make a conclusion that he had this rare ARVD. so looks like he may be in the clear, but with that the want to make sure, so they are sending him to the mainland for further testing and evaluation to figure out if he really has this heart disease or not. keep praying for him and us as we are not out of the woods yet, but we know that through all of this the Lord wants the glory and the glory alone as he brings us through this ordeal. thanks again.
