Death Is Not The End

Death is a new beginning, not the end
God called you home to his side today.
We were not ready to release you but…
God’s hands opened wide to receive you.

His angels gently took hold of your hand
Family and friends were waiting for you.
They lead you to God’s heavenly throne
In his loving arms, he welcomed you home.

You belonged to him, you were always his
A gift from above sent down for us to love.
Time spent with you we will always treasure
Memories in our hearts will remain forever.

We will miss you; your presence was a joy
Your smile and laughter we will remember.
And one day we will see you once again
For death is a new beginning… not the end.

This is beautiful to share with those who have lost someone who trusted Christ.

However, as one who has lost a loved one who refused Christ, it would cause me more hurt.

Happy Spiritual Sunday.

Hi Leila,
It has been a time where each week there has been at least two or three of our dear friends, and family, who have passed away. Thank you for your thoughtful and encouraging words.

Hi Sally,
I wrote this with comfort knowing that these precious loved ones and friends loved the Lord and have been serving him for many years.

A beautiful poem. So sorry for your losses.

It was in August of last year that we lost a twin and then his grandfather around Thanksgiving.

A dear friend of mine when I was younger died not too long ago.

But God gives us grace and peace to go on and I'm sure the poem with be a comfort to those who receive it.
From my heart to yours,
AliceE.

Dear Lorie,
A beautiful poem & prayer for your friends! Seems life is hard for many right now. I pray He comforts your heart and those of your friends.
My own mother is back in the hospital and had surgery last night. She seems to be doing alright. She hasn't been well for a very long time and it can wear one down after a while. I am thankful for the Lord's strong arms! Have a wonderful week!

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Lorie,
Thank you for stopping by today. I want to thank you for your prayers for my mother. Unfortunately, she has to have surgery again in the morning. She is very upset about it and is very fearful! I would appreciate you keeping her in your prayers as she is very frail. Please pray for the Lord's will to be done in this situation. Thank you again my dear sister.

Blessings,
Sandi

So sorry to hear about the losses you've been experiencing. It is indeed a bitter sweet. - I love the line " A gift from above sent down for us to love." -- if we could see everyone in our lives that way - what a difference it would make.

Thanks for once again sharing your heart and touching ours.

thank you for the lovely poem. I have had friends who's loved ones passed away and even those that were close to me too. it's so true when you know that you will see them again...it really does give you some sense of comfort and peace...even though you miss them so much! when I feel down and in despair...I do love to come here and be uplifted and encouraged by your God given talent of having empathy and compassion. thanks for the friendship. your prayers are still needed as my child will be going to surgery on Friday for his heart. Pray for a speedy recovery and that everything turns out well. take care.

So true my sistah!! A new beginning and sometimes I even wonder if this life we are living is a dream and we haven't awakened yet then we do and we are on the otherside where reality is His place of eternity blessings with Him if we chose to be his and if not in the land of torment which does not compare to the earthly kind. My desire is to have no regrets here of what I could have had and didn't just because I believed He couldn't and wouldn't for me.
Love Always, rilda
