Magnificent Wonders

Fresh breeze blowing through the trees
Branches gently bending and swaying
Baby birds calmly sitting in their nest
Feeding time over mother needs a rest.

Beautiful flowers, beautiful scents
Bees pollinating upon each one
Buzzing and fluttering with delight
Fully satisfied, they soon take flight.

Gentle, soothing waters trickling down
Flowing from mountains after the rains
Mother deer leads her foe to the stream
Drinking from waters, fresh and serene.

Stars and moon light up evening skies
A night light for all God’s creatures
His way of saying, it’s time to rest
Holding us in sweet arms of caress.

Life is full of God's magnificent wonders
Life a never ending continuous cycle
Lord, you are the Master of everything
Thank you for life’s joy in simple things.

Dear Lord,

Let me not be so busy,

That I miss the simple joys.
Let me not be bound

By a world full of noise.

Let me seek simplicity

In places where you are.
Through the beauty of flowers

Through bright shinning stars.

Lori, I love this. It's perfect reading as I sit here by my window sill. The sun is shining and there is a slight breeze as the birds are communicating with one another. I took down the window treatment in my den and family room and now I get a cleared vision of God's Beauty while I'm inside as well. I thank HIM for all the senses that allow me to enjoy HIS creations!

Thank you for your beautiful words!

Beautiful poem and I love the prayer. This is my prayer, too.

I don't want to go through life taking anything (big or small) for granted.

Have a bless weekend!!

I linked here from RCUBES and have read several of these poems. They are great. I'd like to quote a line from this as an article started, with proper credits of course. Is that ok?
