Words Of Life

"The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary." (Isaiah 50:4)

When hope seems to slip away
And someone needs more of it today
Speak hope into their spirit, for you see...

Hope speaks life, hope sets a soul free.

When Joy does not abound
And someone is sad, and feeling down.
Speak Joy into their spirit, for you see...
Joy speaks life, joy sets a soul free.

When Love slowly slips away
And someone really needs love today.
Speak love into their spirit, for you see..
Love speaks life, love sets a soul free.

When Faith no longer abides
And someone is searching deep inside.
Speak faith into their spirit, for you see ..
Faith speaks life, faith sets a soul free.

God's words of life will give someone..
Hope, Joy, Love, and Faith ,in the Lord.

God's word is full of life and power
And sharper than any two edged sword.

Kind Words

Kind words spoken...
Can make a broken spirit whole.
Unkind words...
Can kill a hurting soul.
The Lord hears each word we say.
We are held accountable in every way.
So speak words of life today.

My Prayer...
Lord you said in "(Proverbs 18:21) that death and life are in the power of the tongue." Please "Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; and keep watch over the door of my lips" (Psalm 141:3). Help me to not only speak your words of life, but to also speak positive words, words of blessings, encouragement, edification, and praise, So your name will be forever glorified by the souls we have touched on this Journey called life.... Amen

BEAUTIFUL! Your writing is amazing!

Thank you for sharing and for finding me.

It's amazing how I "fell away" from God for a while, and he brought me back, with a soft nudge when I cried out.
How I have more women of faith standing at my back then I'd ever imagine. How God has put you all in my life makes me breathless and joyful.

Sometimes it's hard to take him out that box and see how INCREDIBLE he is, and the miracles he performs.

I had asked him for friends, I had asked him for women who loved him more then life itself. And slowly I'm finding you..or you me.

I'm AMAZED, (I smile) and THANK HIM DAILY!

HuGZ and have a blessed day!

Your poems are amazing. Do you send them off to be published somewhere? Christian magazines would love to have some of these.

This is an awesome poem that many of us need to reflect on!

I myself have been going through a trial that has, at times, made me become weary. But Scripture, as your poem points out, brings life and comfort to those who are troubled.

Isaiah 40:29 says:
He gives strength to the weary, And to {him who} lacks might He increases power.

what truth! How powerful our words are!! Knowing my "falleness" it is often my prayer that my words are God's and not my own. I think we underestimate the power of our words far too often - how they can hurt and how they can heal - thank you for the reminder and in such a beautifully spoken way.

Love,

Rachel

Beautiful as always Lori! My prayer is that the Lord will direct my words in hopes that I may comfort someone and alos that someone may comfort me as well. HE started by sending me to your blog before I start my work day-night! I'm on the night shift this week and wanted to check in to say hello and send prayers your way.
