Early Will I Seek You.

Before the sun is up, my cry for help comes to your ear; my hope is in your words. Psalm :119

In the early morning hours
I seek your face oh Lord.
I awake with such a longing
In my soul, to be near you.

I get out of bed and write
There is a stirring within.
You call me to your side
I come with anticipation.

You speak ever so gently
Softly, sweetly, deeply.
You minister to my spirit
Your love fills my soul.

I listen calmly in silence
I begin to see your ways.
Openly my heart receives
A song is born within.

Your words I place Lord
Upon my morning altar.
I kneel and lift my prayers
As sweet incense rising.

You fill the empty places
The dry and parched areas.
With streams in the desert
Refreshing waters of Eden.

In the early morning hours
I seek your face oh Lord.
Your words of hope I hear
And my mind is at rest.

So lovely to read, Lorie! It has been a rather stressful day here in the Maritimes with Hurricane Bill coming through. We're through the worst of it, I think. Wonderful poem. It's soothing to my soul. Have a lovely week.

I love the first sentence, "Before the sun is hope." That is my prayer, the HE allows us to rise again, before the sun comes up! I seek HIM in every area of my life and once I gave HIM control, I've been as light as a feather! Always praying for you even if I don't get a chance to visit! You're so very talented and I thank our Father for bringing your Joy into my life!

The poem is so beautiful and comforting even to me. I saw that your August tests were normal, praise God. Will be praying for the same results in September.

There are two Awards on my blog for all on my blogroll or followers. I hope you will go by and pick them up. You certainly deserve both of them. I had done that earlier in the week and had it scheduled to publish Frday.

I had put a post on before Friday that I would be away for a while.
My dearest cousin who is 88 yrs. old has had a very bad stroke on her left brain which controls her right side. The doctors don't give us much hope. I have been going with my husband and staying with her and some others just about all day. Another couple who are very close to her have been staying at night. We visited a Hospice Home yesterday and the lady who has Power of Attorney over her finances and house also wanted us to meet with the funeral director so we did that yesterday also. I am very tired today and was told to stay home and rest. We will probably go this afternoon for a while. The dr. has increased her pain medicine and put a patch on for a cough she was having so she's sleeping more.
Would appreciate your prayers.
I love you and will be praying for you,
AliceE.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment on my blog. Yes, I have a copy of Christianity In Crisis. It has been awhile since I first read it but generally speaking, I like it a lot. There may be a few things I don't agree with but nothing comes to mind. Hank Hanegraaff is helping people to see the truth. Have a good day.

Very nice, as usual. Just checking to see how you are. Keep seeking Him early, Lori. I have to spend my first moments of the day with Him or else the day is a failure.

Hey girlie, I'm so glad you stopped by today. So glad you are back up and running. But the blessing is that I stopped by your bloggy home. I needed your poem. I'm running in a dry, barren and parched season. I'm just to seek, His job will be to refresh. Blessings my sistah!

Hi Lorie,
This poem was so sweet and comforting. I lost a beautiful friend this weekend and I can picture her in the most breathtaking place as she seeks His face. She is survived by her husband and two very young daughters. My heart aches for them.

Keep seeking his face!!! The best is yet to come.

Hi Alene,
I know what you mean!!! I also feel like I have been walking through a barren and parched land. I call them my desert days. But you know what, those are the days when I seek his face even more and he begins to reveal to me treasures of wisdom. Refreshing streams fill my spirit and I am once again refreshed.
