Jesus Carried Me

Up hill battles at times gets rough
The climb to the top seems so tough.
Storm clouds cover the pathway up
I said that’s it, I have had enough.

Halfway up I feel the need to stop
Tears fill my eyes, looking at the top.
I am so tired; this is just too hard to do
I have no strength to carry me through.

Than I hear God’s voice gently speak
I know you are feeling weary and weak.
My child, please do not ever give up
I will carry and take you to the top.

Lifting me in his arms, together we climb
I looked into his eyes, he looked into mine.
He placed my feet upon the solid ground
And said precious daughter just look around.

I saw many souls struggling to climb
Some had mountains bigger than mine.
He said I must go and help the others
Pray for your sisters and your brothers.

Standing on the mountain, I soon realized
That making it to the top was not the prize.
It was the journey and the climb you see…
When I felt like giving up, Jesus carried me

What a beautiful reminder that we are never alone as we walk in the valleys. He is always near. And He never abandons us. Thanks for sharing this nice poem from your heart. Blessings.

Hallelujah, with Him it is all possible to make it through to the highest place even when earthly bound. Him and all of heaven cheering us onward. It's taking our eyes off Him that keeps us feeling helpless and hopeless at times. May we all look up and around to see we are His and that just knowing He is for us makes it all worth the test for Father God gives us His best. Him and all He is throughout eternity.Always! Love you, Lorie, rilda *U*

Thanks for this Lorie! I needed this today. Needed the reminder about the journey and not the destination. It is too easy to get focused on the destination that the journey seems so long and difficult! Happy New Year my friend!

Blessings,
Nicole

Absolutely beautiful. I experienced something yesterday in the very early hours of the morning. I don't remember getting out of bed (3:00 am) but I do remember falling, hitting my head on something hard and ended up on my back under a table that my husband and I share in our bedroom between my recliner and his rocking chair. I don't know how this happened but I do know that God must have had me in His arms because I've had very little bruising and hardly any pain. Isn't God good? I must have gone to the bathroom and coming out I could have either gone down the stairs or back into our bedroom, but like I said I do believe God was holding me and that is exactly what He has done for you. He has been carrying you for a while now but we know that when we are in His arms we are safe.

The poem is beautiful.
Luv u,
