When they is over, the Lord provides the most beautiful closing scene of the day. He provides us with a beautiful sunset, and just as the rainbow is a promise, his sunsets are also a promise, that the sun shall rise again. Darkness is his way of wiping the slate clean of all that has happened in our day for our mistakes, failures, attitudes, and actions that we were not proud of. I see a sunrise as the Lord's way of rising up to greet us first thing in the morning and saying, here I am to help you through another day.
Another chance for beginnings, another chance to make things right, another chance to say I love you, and hug your loved ones. Another chance to forgive, another chance to serve, another chance to be a blessing to someone, another chance to say thank you, I appreciate you, I’m proud of you, to say I’m sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me. Another chance to give your heart to the Lord, to be made whole, to be healed, to be forgiven, to be blessed, to be restored, renewed, refreshed, redeemed, delivered, and to be free .

Another chance to receive God’s promises of everlasting and eternal life, one day in heaven. Our God is a God of mercy, and grace, a God of second chances, he is there waiting, ready to greet and meet with us in our morning devotions, prayers, and praises, with a heart of gratitude that says..
Oh God of second chances, here I am, give me another chance to start over and try again.

AMEN Lorie! My husband just preached a message...Second Chances! It was so encouraging to know that God knows our frailties and saved us already knowing these things and in his mercies helps us be victorious...day by day!
Thank you for stopping by to say HI...I hope you are doing well?
I'll be trying to post on my story atleast once a week (Tues)...today actually here.
I am so glad that I belong to this God. That He loves me and knows that I am just mud. Anything good in me has come from the Father above...and that makes me MORE than just mud. :)
He has made us worthy by the blood of the Lamb.....and that makes each new day a day that should be faced with expectancy and anticipation.
We are truly blessed even when the world around us makes us want to think otherwise.
Amen!
Hi Lorie...I love sunsets, and the wonderful promises of our Lord. I've been given many second chances in my life, and I am so thankful for each of them! Thank you for another encouraging devotion.
Each day is a chance for second chances for me. I'm so glad we have forgiveness through Christ and get do overs. Praise the Lord!
Engrafted by HIS Grace-

Amen,Amen!!
What a wonderful post, I don't think you left anything out. He is just so awesome, I hope that one-day I will not need that second chance, and that I will succeed the 1st time. But it is a wonderful feeling that he knows we all sometimes need another chance.
Praise him for he gets all the glory.
Blessings to you
Sharon
My baby boy and I LUV (that's southern for love) Veggie Tales and on Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie there is a song called, "The God of Second Chances". I got him on video buggying down to it last weekend and am planning on posting it on my site. I'm so glad He's the God of second, third, seven times seventy chances.

Lorie,
Beautifully said . . It never ceases to amaze me how each morning when I sit down with our Lord, how I feel the newness of life He offers - each day is full of hope, excitement and anticipation of seeing His hand in my life and experiencing more of His presence - you just never know what He will do. He continues to blow my mind in every way in every area of my life - nothing is untouched by His grace, power, and love.
Smiles,
Rachel
I've always loved sunsets.

Oh, yes...Second chances...and with the tough old birds like me 2,000 chances. I have been so blown away by His mercy and love in everyone around me lately.
you are right about His knowing us ... the weakness and all. He wants our love and enthusiastic adoration; and how could we ever think of less?
That picture is absolutely beautiful.
God bless and keep you.
What would I have ever done in life without God's second chances???? I'm the queen of mess ups!!!! But to know that not only is their forgiveness, but also a clean slate to start over is the greatest heart-lifter there is!
Thanks for such a good reminder!
Cora

I never thought about the darkness as God's way of wiping the slate clean. . I like that!
I am thankful for each new day and like Anne's teacher in Green Gables said, each day was like a new page without any mistakes on it. I like that thought.
Thanks so much for your visit to my blog and the comments. . they meant so much to me!
