Come Away With Me

During my quiet time last night, I was inspired to write these words, The first Part “Come Away With Me” words spoken into my spirit, as I read Mark 6:30-34, The second is “Heart Expressions” my heart's open and honest response back to the Lord.

My Beloved Child ..

Come away with me and rest
Come apart from the world
Sit at my feet, and be still
I enjoy my time with you.

I speak to you in the stillness
I am the good shepherd
My sheep hear my voice
I call them each by name.

Let me speak to your spirit
As you listen with your heart
Tune your ears my beloved
I am the voice of your shepherd.

How will I speak to you…?
I will speak to you through my
Scriptures, psalms, and promises
In your stillness, read my word.

I speak to you in quietness
No words need to be said
Just my presence needing
To be felt.

Heart Expressions…

Lord, when I struggle, you help me to see the simplicity in stillness and quietness. You help me to see that it's not the minutes but the moments together, for there is no time in moments.

Moments when your words speak so deeply to my spirit that I just need to stop, put my bible down, and just receive.

Moments in quietness, when you minister to me, spirit, to spirit.
And we worship together in spirit, and in truth

Moments when your heart joins mine, and without words,
You refresh my heart, and renew my spirit once more.

Dear Lord, In stillness my eyes are opened to see the unveiling of the secret places. You help me to focus on the stillness within, a sanctuary where you abide, and where our spirits meet. There I spend precious moments with you, moments without time,

Beautiful and just what God has been saying to me the past week. I've been in a "funk"--not feeling directed or able to do much of anything except feel discouraged. Then, I realized that God had been speaking to me through my memory verse for this week, and I had been too busy to listen for His voice.

And just so you know, a lot of people are on this same page!! This is the 4th post--just today--that I have read about sheep, shepherds and hearing His voice.

I think God is really trying to tell me something!!

Oh Lorie, this is precious. When I saw those sheep. I thought He maketh me lie down in green pastures. He restores my soul.

It's those quiet, still times when He restores us.
