Retreat Beginnings

I wanted to share with you the behind the scenes photos of the making of our retreat poster. We decided on a "Sistah Soldier" theme, and so we got dressed in some camouflage, and found the perfect spot in a beautiful rain forest setting where we work at.

This is the finished poster.

Here we are trying to find our places, I don't know about the others, but I was just making sure there was no centipedes, or spiders, or any creepy crawly things that may linger in the jungle. The sistah's on the tree made it up there, but it seems one of them ended up tangled in a vine and backwards.. lol

In this photo we were supposed look tough and put on mean faces that would scare the enemy. Notice me, and the sistah on the top right above us , we just could not put on a mean face if our life depended on it lol.

The other sistah's kept up with their tough looking faces, then the sistah on my right started to laugh and so did I (again). The same sistah on top of the tree was not doing any better either.

Okay by now jungle fever sets in, and we all let loose. We were just thankful the photographer was very patient with us women, bless his heart. How that umbrella ended up in the photo I can't tell you, but it came in handy because it started to drizzle.

Well we finally got settled, and gave our photographer our best smiles, and this was the photo we would end up using. Now you have to admit, only women would go through all of this just for a retreat poster lol.

Lorie,

I am so glad you stopped by. I was just answering an email from an old friend when your comment came in.

Today, our pastor spoke about how we can hear something over and over again and then the Lord will reveal it to us in the way He wants us to take it and apply it and we say "oh wow"!

I'm so glad the scripture blessed you. I was blessed by these pictures and your retreat. ((hugs)) & blessings to you sweet sister!

Hi Marina,
I think a week went to fast and I had hoped she could have stayed a lil longer. Her younger sister misses her big sister so much. but she had to go back to work and school, I'm just thankful for the time I did have to spend with her.

Blessings Lorie, Father breath your breathe of life into my sisah Lorie as you refresh her spirit, renew her mind, and bring unto her all that is needed for a victorious life full of YOU. Lead her daily into the paths of glory to glory as she gives you love and adornation. Life with you is magnificent and powerful so as more of you is reveled walking as Jesus did brings you into focus to see you clearly, hear your voice and to bring peace, love, joy and your faith into manifestation as yours is. I love these pictures Lorie! LOL, in the one where everyone lost it I just had to crack up because everyone seems oblivious to the one lady strangling the other in the bottom right corner! Haha, too funny!

Beautiful place for a retreat!
