Quiet Place

Come away with me to a quiet place and get some rest... Mark 6:31

I go to a quiet place
Where no one can be found.
A cup of tea, Jesus, and me
His presence all around.

There I go to pray
Soft music fills the air
Snuggling with a cozy quilt
I give him all my cares.

I begin to read his word
My spirit is set free.
Listening with my heart
My Jesus speaks to me.

I treasure my quiet place
Precious moments spent with you.
Lord I walk away refreshed
I walk away renewed
.

What is the Lord calling you to do today..  Mark 6:31 is the scripture the Lord has spoken into my heart and spirit for this upcoming week, as I prepare to lead morning prayer devotions this weekend at our upcoming Women's Retreat.

What a wonderful and personal invitation from God  to "Dwell In Prayer," to "Rest", "To Be Still In Quietness,"  "To Listen As He Speaks To My Heart , Spirit, and Soul," Pray my strength in the Lord,  for our retreat, and all the women that will be attending.

His Promises to me is:  He will refresh my weary soul  Jeremiah 31:25
His presence will go with me, and he will give me rest. Exodus 33: 13-14

What is the Lord calling you to do today? ~ Great question! We will only know if we spend time with Him in a quiet place. Sometimes our lives get so busy and hectic, we forget to meditate on His word and listen to Him. Thanks for sharing this post with Spiritual Sundays, and enjoy the retreat!

I needed to hear the question..."What is God calling you to do today?" And the need to Come away with God for a little while spoke loudly....Time to share and time to listen.

I pray the retreat will be a refreshing time in His presence for you and all the ladies attending.

We so often need the quiet times to regroup our thoughts, re-tune our hearing and relinquish control. Hope the quiet times are a blessing.

Right now, the Lord is calling me to persevere on the journey He is calling me to walk out....so I am, trusting Him every step of the way.

Blessings.

How precious that time is each morning that you so well depicted in that beautiful poem. I treasure those moments each day. Yesterday I took time to just be with Him all day - it was incredible. I feel He is calling us to be still with Him more because it is there we get nourished and lead in the battle that lays before us. Satan is warring against the saints. How we need to be in the pastures of our Good Shepherd.

Because you spend quiet time with Him you will have abundance of spiritual refreshmemt for the women's prayer group and those you encounter day to day. People these days are too busy to spend quiet time before the Lord. You are an inspiration. God bless.
